AIM is shutting down.

As of December 15, 2017, AOL Instant Messenger products and services will be shut down and will no longer work, according to AOL’s blog.

One of the major messaging services back in the 90s is coming to an end.

All good things must come to an end, and Verizon has dropped the hammer on this one as well.

Unfortunately with Verizon being Verizon, you aren’t able to export most of your data such as Buddy Lists. Chat Logs and Images and such will be exportable as long as you are running a new version and the email addresses will be kept intact.. For now.

So long, AIM.
